Ese gran territorio conquistado por la Corona de Castilla entre los siglos XIII y XV dará lugar a una nueva frontera del mundo, constituida también como nuevo centro del sistema mundial. En el presente artículo nos interesa proponer dos nuevos marcos subregionales: el Atlántico oriental y el Caribe afroandaluz.
