W e present a methodology for extracting the constraint that comes from the architecture, by deriving a set of architectural entailments which as for certain model properties over others. The methodology allows us to fzictor the effect that various architectural properties have on a model. We demonstrate the methodology with a case study: a model of learning procedures from natural language instructions, Instructo-Soar, within the Soar architecture.","language":"eng","license":{"name":"","short_name":"","text":null,"url":""},"keywords":[],"section":"Symposia","is_remote":true,"remote_url":"https://escholarship.org/uc/item/6kz4x93r","frozenauthors":[{"first_name":"Scott","middle_name":"B.","last_name":"Huffman","name_suffix":"","institution":"The University of Michigan","department":""},{"first_name":"Craig","middle_name":"S.","last_name":"Miller","name_suffix":"","institution":"The University of Michigan","department":""},{"first_name":"John","middle_name":"E.","last_name":"Laird","name_suffix":"","institution":"The University of Michigan","department":""}],"date_submitted":null,"date_accepted":null,"date_published":"1993-01-01T18:00:00Z","render_galley":null,"galleys":[{"label":"PDF","type":"pdf","path":"https://journalpub.escholarship.org/cognitivesciencesociety/article/31626/galley/22694/download/"}]}
