We will begin this exploratory process by analyzing the functions of role-playing and improvisation as teaching and learning strategies, and we will then expand this analysis to the idea of storytelling as a link between learning in museums and learning in theatre. Subsequently, the study will be established upon the idea that there is a possible correlation between learning in museums and learning in theatre. Furthermore, the study will investigate how storytelling in dramatic forms, such as a group improvisational performance, can affect students' thought processes regarding a series of images and/or objects in a museum exhibit.","language":"en","license":{"name":"","short_name":"","text":null,"url":""},"keywords":[{"word":"learning"},{"word":"museum"},{"word":"Theatre"},{"word":"role playing"},{"word":"improvisation"},{"word":"Arts and Humanities"},{"word":"Other Education"}],"section":"Teaching and Learning through the Arts","is_remote":true,"remote_url":"https://escholarship.org/uc/item/2h473935","frozenauthors":[{"first_name":"Amy","middle_name":"","last_name":"Chou","name_suffix":"","institution":"Harvard Graduate School of Education","department":"None"}],"date_submitted":"2008-04-01T09:00:00+02:00","date_accepted":"2008-04-01T09:00:00+02:00","date_published":"2010-05-28T09:00:00+02:00","render_galley":null,"galleys":[{"label":"","type":"pdf","path":"https://journalpub.escholarship.org/cla_jlta/article/48069/galley/36207/download/"}]}
