The MNL has\nreceived support from various paradigms, but it remains\ncontroversial as it is challenged by alternative models. Here\nwe used an individual differences approach to assess spatialnumerical\nassociations (SNAs) across a variety of tasks. The\nMNL hypothesis predicts correlations across SNA tasks\nbecause they should tap a common MNL representation.\nControl tasks were included to account for effects not specific\nto SNAs. Correlation analyses revealed significant\nassociations across several SNA tasks, even when controlling\nfor general cognitive abilities or individual differences in\nresponse time (RT).
