However, in the current\ndigital age, information may be gathered from both\nhumans and technological sources that select and present\ninformation as humans do. Using methods designed to\nstudy epistemic trust in human informants (e.g., Koenig,\nClement, & Harris, 2004), the current study investigates\nchildren’s and adults’ selective trust in a technological\nand human informant. Children (ages 4 and 5) and adults\nwere presented with queries designed to probe their\nwillingness to seek out and accept information from\nhuman versus technological informants.
