It took place on a year that would mark the 30th anniversary since the formation of the GDR. Held at the Leonhardi-Museum in Dresden from October 27- November 11, the Doors Exhibition [Türen-Ausstellung] overwhelmingly represented experiences of being caught at a threshold—enclosed, separated, and alienated, yet on the edge of possibility, openness, and connection—as metaphorized through the everyday structure of the door.
