Cerebral angiography was performed with no thrombus identified but moyamoya disease present.\nConclusion: \nAlthough rare, moyamoya should be considered as a potential cause of patients presenting with altered mental status. The case presented also highlights the importance of avoiding common diagnostic biases.",
